My work
Accounting for a mandate in the service of the residents of Saint-Ouen-sur-Seine
This section presents the framework of the work carried out under the smart city, artificial intelligence and international relations portfolios: the responsibilities entrusted, the working method, the priorities pursued and how everyone can understand, follow and contribute.
Working so that the smart city, artificial intelligence and international relations become levers of empowerment, inclusion, trust and openness for the residents of Saint-Ouen-sur-Seine.
→ Who am I? — the background and commitment behind this mandate.
A collective framework
The smart city, artificial intelligence and international relations portfolios share a common ambition: making technology and openness to the world levers of empowerment, inclusion, trust and opportunity.
These subjects can sometimes seem technical or remote from everyday life. Yet they directly concern access to public services, the simplification of administrative procedures, data protection, digital inclusion, training, innovation, youth, the attractiveness of the city and cooperation with other cities and institutions.
The work carried out in this framework is part of the collective effort of the municipal team. It involves following files, contributing to discussions, involving the actors concerned, fostering useful partnerships and reporting on progress. It must also respect everyone’s remit: some subjects fall directly within the city’s competence, others require partnerships with other local authorities, institutions, associations or economic actors.
A method: listen, explain, involve, experiment, evaluate, be accountable
The working method rests on one conviction: these subjects cannot be handled in a top-down or purely technical way. They must start from the needs of the city and be explained in an accessible manner.
Listen
Gather the needs of residents, public employees, associations, businesses and partners.
Explain
Make sometimes technical subjects accessible: digital services, AI, data, international cooperation.
Involve
Build initiatives with the people concerned, rather than deciding from above.
Experiment
Test solutions on a small scale before rolling them out.
Evaluate
Measure the usefulness, limits, risks and results of projects.
Be accountable
Publish progress, milestones, constraints and follow-up actions.
Priorities of the mandate
The working priorities focus in particular on the accessibility of digital services, digital inclusion, trust in data, the responsible use of artificial intelligence, training in the skills of tomorrow, international openness serving young people and local actors, and the meaningful outreach of Saint-Ouen-sur-Seine.
These priorities will be tracked over time through the “News & projects” and “Understanding the issues” sections. The aim is to allow everyone to understand not only the topics addressed, but also the milestones, the partners involved and the expected results.
