Following the work in progress

This section tracks the news, projects and progress related to the portfolios. It aims to make public action more legible: what is under way, what is moving forward, the partners involved, the next steps and the expected results.

Accounting for public action means going beyond announcements. A municipal project is built over time: it starts from a need, mobilises partners, goes through different stages, sometimes encounters constraints, and must then be evaluated on its concrete effects.

Being accountable also means showing the intermediate stages. Some projects move quickly, others require more consultation, coordination or preparation. What matters is allowing residents to follow what is being built, understand the choices made and, where relevant, contribute with their ideas, questions or feedback.

Tracked projects

How to read the statuses

To avoid confusing an idea, an announcement, an experiment and a fully deployed project, each project carries a simple status:

Under consideration

The need is identified, but the project is not yet scoped.

In scoping

Objectives, partners, resources and milestones are being defined.

In consultation

Discussions are organised with residents, stakeholders or partners.

In experimentation

A first version is being tested on a small scale.

Being rolled out

The project is being implemented more widely.

Under evaluation

Results, limits and lessons learned are being analysed.

Completed

The project is finished or integrated into day-to-day operations.

Suspended

The project is stopped or on hold, with an explanation of the reasons.

This method also makes it possible to account for limits and constraints: a project can evolve, be adjusted or take longer than expected. The point is to explain it clearly, rather than communicating only about successes.
